1 ) Handicrafts ‘made in Pesaro’ in the historic centre
The craft boutiques of our footwear, leather goods and decorative arts masters are an all-round experience of what it means to buy a unique, artfully made and perhaps made-to-measure object.

2) Villa Imperiale
The residence of the Lords Sforza first, and Della Rovere later, it is a jewel of Renaissance architecture designed by master Girolamo Genga.
Every Wednesday afternoon it opens its frescoed rooms to visitors, and on Saturdays its Italian-style gardens.

3) Farmers markets
Tuesdays (clothing); Thursdays and Saturdays (local food products); every third Sunday of the month (antiques/vintage) from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Every Thursday and Saturday morning, at Via Giolitti 214 you will find the Campagna Amica Covered Market, with all the best local produce.
On Tuesdays, dive into the colourful stalls stretching from the San Decenzio car park to Piazzale Matteotti, on the outskirts of the city centre, to buy bargain designer clothes.
Every third Sunday of the month, on the other hand, in the central Piazza del Popolo you will find the Stradomenica initiative, with stalls selling genuine Antiques and Vintage items.
4) Pesaro through the centuries
From the mosaics of the domus romana visible inside the Cathedral, to the Jewish Synagogue, from the house where Gioachino Rossini was born to the Rossini Theatre – a true jewel that from 7 to 23 August hosts the ROF, Rossini Opera Festival – up to the latest installation of the Biosphere inaugurating the year of Pesaro Italian Capital of Culture 2024.
5) The waterfront and Thursday evenings with Baby Baia
Every Tuesday evening from 7 to 11 p.m. for the little ones there is Baby Baia in Flaminia Bay, the last stretch of the western waterfront, not far from the port. Activities, workshops, storytelling, baby dance and much more to spend an evening of fun with the children. To eat, all along the Pesaro seafront you can find beach restaurants, bistros, pizzerias, and streetfood to satisfy every taste. Rely on Google Maps and user reviews and you cannot go wrong.
Bonus Track: try the Rossini pizza!
A margherita pizza (tomato and mozzarella) with thin slices of boiled egg, and a round of mayonnaise to top it off. In Italy, you will only find it in Pesaro. It may sound strange, but eating it is a real sensory experience! Try asking for it in a bar or café: they will serve it in a mini version, perfect for an energetic breakfast or an aperitif!
